Danish genetics

The decision to establish Danish Genetics was made when DanBred was founded, the new marketing group from the former DanAvl system. This group has very strong monopolistic features in the eyes of the Danish Genetics owners. They don´t can see their future in license production for DanBred, but want to stay independent and take active part in the market as well as in breeding work.

On Thursday, 15.08 2018, Danish Genetics was officially established and thus ensures free competition in pig breeding and merchandising in Denmark.

Roslin Technologies,a commercial part of the University of Edingburgh, Easter Bush Campus, could be won as competent partner for breeding work. Roslin Technologies has a worldwide reputation in the field of genetic research, biotechnology and genomic selection.

Our longtime partners in Denmark invariably include in the new company, and they will furthermore work with their focus on genetic progress, highest health status and economy.

For us and our partners the close contact to the customers always was important. It should be even more intense in the future and the needs of the market should take a bigger part in the breeding aim.
